General Beadle is a public elementary school that serves preschool through 5th grade students. We love celebrating the diversity of our student body–more than 80% of our students are from a minority race. We are a Title I school which allows for us to provide additional support and services to our families, students, and staff. This year, General Beadle will also host the Lakota Immersion School. The Immersion School started with a kindergarten cohort for the 2021-22 school year. We will grow the program to have a section of kindergarten and 1st grade for the 2022-23 school.

Top priorities for the 2022-23 school year:

  • Continue to engage our families in school functions and in classrooms. We will again be hosting Family Chats to learn how we can best engage families. Please reach out if you are interested in working at General Beadle or serving as a classroom volunteer.
  • Improve students’ academic, social, and emotionally development through collaboration among staff, families, and community partners.
  • Improve the daily attendance rate. In the 2021-22 school year, more than 40% of students missed 20 or more days of school. When students miss more than 20 days, they may not be ready for the next grade level.
  • Build student leaders across all grade levels.
