🌟 Special Cultural Showcase – Featuring Hoop Dancer Tara Kingi! 🌟
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting professional hoop dancer Tara Kingi during an assembly on November 17 at 9:30 AM!
As part of this celebration, we invite Native American students who have regalia to participate in an opening intertribal dance. An intertribal song (2–3 minutes) will be played, and all dance styles are welcome.
This is a powerful opportunity for students to share their culture, build confidence, and shine in front of their peers—followed by an inspiring performance by Tara Kingi.
✨ If your student would like to participate in the opening dance, we will call students down to the gym area to get dress prior to the assembly✨
We look forward to honoring culture, tradition, and student pride together!

We're so excited to host a booth at The Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival this Saturday! Come find the Rapid City Area Schools booth for free temporary tattoos, cool swag, and a chance to chat with us! We can't wait to see you there!

We can’t wait to welcome you! Join us tomorrow, August 29th, from 8:00–8:30 A.M. to meet your teacher and explore the classroom. Start the morning off sweet with a donut, smiles, and a chance to connect with your child’s new learning community!

Our building air conditioning is currently down, and classrooms will be warmer than normal over the next few days. We are working to provide fans in classrooms and hallways to help keep air moving. Please dress your student in light, comfortable clothing to help them stay cool during the school day.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we work through this situation together.

We had a great first day of school! 🎉 Even though it was hot outside, students stayed cool and comfortable inside while learning, making friends, and getting back into routines.
A quick reminder about our school security procedures:
🔹 Parents/visitors are not allowed back into classroom areas once inside the building.
🔹 If you need to connect with your child’s teacher, please use email or ClassDojo messaging.
🔹 All visitors, including parents, must check in at the main office every time you come into the building.
Thank you for helping us keep Beadle safe and running smoothly for all students. 💙
We wanted to share that our school will continue with a normal school day on Tuesday and Wednesday. Since our building is fully air-conditioned, students will remain comfortable and safe during the day.
We strongly encourage students to attend and stay for the entire day. Regular attendance is an important part of building strong habits and starting the school year off on the right foot. Every day of learning makes a difference!
Thank you for your support in helping your child get off to a strong start.

On Monday, August 18, all Rapid City Area Schools buildings will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. for our annual District Opener event. This is a special tradition where all RCAS staff gather to celebrate the start of the new school year and align for success. We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to connect, inspire, and ring in the new year together.
